Topanga Canyon

Topanga Canyon

Just to the north of Santa Monica but not before you reach Malibu, there lies a little town in the hills colonized by hippies but founded by Native Americans. Topanga Canyon is one of the best kept secrets where thousands of true California soil loving dwellers flock to, mostly to get away from the madness that many say Los Angeles has become. Riddled with artists, musicians, and various types of bohemian inhabitants, Topanga has a plethora of trails, wilderness, mountains, and patchouli drenched goodness. Topanga embodies the true spirit of 1970’s Southern California, or whatever is left of it. It's likely you won’t visit Topanga with all the other activities L.A. has to offer, and that’s just the way the locals like it.
