If you’ve been to Hong Kong, then you know there’s a boatload of talented immigrants doing big things in one of Asia’s most important cities. There are possibly none bigger than Matt Abergel, especially if you love food, which we do. Three years ago, Matt and his partner, Lindsay Jang, opened Yardbird, arguably one of the world’s best restaurants. Essentially it’s a Yakitori joint, but the Korean Fried Cauliflower is so good you might just shiitake in your pants. Oh wait, maybe that’s actually the Maitake Mushroom. Not to mention, Abergel also has two more delicious restaurants, Ronin and Sundays...just get over to HK and eat his meatballs. Meatballs yakitori, that is.
