Kana Manglapus  had her first solo exhibit at the Cadillac Hotel in Venice, CA this past weekend.  Kana shot her entire collection with her iPhone and collaborated with the hotel to showcase "#beatourist", offering a site-specific collection to inspire travelers and locals alike as well as donating some of the proceeds to the Venice Family Clinic.

While living in Manhattan she conceptualized “Section Urbaine," a lifestyle retail concept that fused the worlds of fashion, art and design. She went on to become director of Milk Gallery, an arts and events space representing emerging talent.

Upon relocating to Los Angeles in 2006, she opened Bahay Home, an interior design gallery in Culver City, where she furthered her relationships with artists both in Los Angeles and New York.

In 2009, she began representing fine artists for gallery exhibitions and private sales in Los Angeles, New York and Internationally. In January 2011, Kana opened her contemporary art space Kana Manglapus Projects at 1346 Abbott Kinney Blvd in Venice, CA.

She is curating a show coming up with photographer Tasya Van Ree  at Roseark in Weho, a photography show for Milk in the spring, and a show with photographer Pascal Shirley.
