Hundred Waters at GLCO

By Garrett

Last week our good buddy Xavier brought the Hundred Waters crew through the office to come check out some new GLCO sunglasses  for their upcoming tour. Hundred Waters just released their second EP The Moon Rang LIke A Bell and their track Murmurs  was featured as the Best New Track on Pitchfork last week.

Hundred Waters was founded in 2012 in Gainesville, Florida and released their first EP under Skrillex's label OWSLA. They have toured the world with the likes of Alt-J, The XX, Julia Holter, and BRAIDS. Their name pays homage to Austrian painter Friedensreich Hundertwasser who believed that listeners should provide their own interpretation of music and art. Their musical influences take on a wide variety from Bjork, Jaga Jazzist, Four Tet, Animal Collective, Braids, and many others.

The team of four came through last Thursday and we got the pleasure of meeting with Paul (electronics, guitars), Nicole (vocals, keys, flute), Zach (drums, vocals), & Trayer (electronics, guitars). Check out some photos from their day at the GLCO Headquarters as well as their new video Murmurs, by clicking here.

You can also see what Pitchfork  had to say about them.

Special Thanks to Xavier and  Hundred Waters for coming through and spending an afternoon with us. Have fun and good luck on your upcoming North America tour.
