GLCO

GLCO was created in Venice, CA in 2010 by L.A native Garrett Leight. Leight's eyewear heritage has been well documented, but it's his vision of creating a brand that offers luxury handcrafted eyewear combining quality, service, style, & original brand DNA for the best value, that makes GLCO most unique. GLCO is inspired by California and its icons.

Our manufacturer creates the fairest priced and most valuable eyewear ethically, without sacrificing anything we believe in. This is why we are Made in China.

Details

We have worked hard on the details of every GLCO frame to make it original & unique. Each frame is named after a street in Venice & the core wire has been stamped with VC/CA 90291, honoring our hometown. Every frame has laser etched stamping. A circular shaped ball sits at the end of the temple, signifying the roundness of your eyeball & the GLCO logo.

Lenses

We source a variety of high quality UV protected glass and CR-39 lenses from the most elite lens manufacturers in the world. We use the highest quality polarized glass lenses from Italy & Japan. Our factory partners create innovative technologies like layered mirrors and offer a variety of colors that give us the most beautiful lens options available.

Acetate

We believe in working with cured acetate that has been aged longer for durability & strength. We source plastic from all over the world including Japan, Italy & China. We carefully select acetate to make sure that it meets our high quality standards & style. We use a very limited amount of plastic suppliers because we only want the best options.

Soulful Individuals

We believe that the greatest creations have a soul. Many say that the eyes are the window to the soul. We create eyewear inspired by the most soulful individuals throughout history by drawing inspiration from a variety of iconic characters throughout time. After all, what good is an individual without vision? What good is a product without a soul?

Custom

We believe the consumer should have as many options as possible. Who are we to say what each individual thinks is best? This is why we built our own lens-cutting lab, so we can customize any frame with the lenses of your choice. We can also matte any frame you like. Head over to our Modshop to create a one-of-a-kind pair of GLCO.

Value is the #1 concern at GLCO. We are focused on making sure the customer's dollar is well spent. This is why we put extra effort into our packaging, style, details, customer service and fair pricing. This is why we believe in clip-on sunglasses. They are affordable, functional, and fashionable, eliminating the need for prescription sunglasses.

  8. After walking our first order over to A. Kinney Court on Abbot Kinney, we ship the order of 162 pieces to Barney's New York and forget to send half the cases!

  9. We launch our first collection, Spring/Summer 2011, with 4 styles. 3 optical, 4 sunglasses and one collaboration. Including our bestselling styles Hampton & Brooks.
